Farmer-Focused Up-Skilling for Modern Agricultural Engineering Technologies

  • Grand Farm Innovation Campus 3717 153rd Avenue Southeast Wheatland, ND, 58079 United States (map)

This event, part of the USAGE-NG Project, offers an in-depth look at how up-skilling strategies for farmers are being developed and applied within the framework of modern Agricultural Engineering. With a focus on smart farming technologies in livestock and arable production, the event will present key insights into current training approaches, knowledge transfer from research into practice, and the challenges that still need to be addressed.

A central part of the program includes a comparison between EU and USA approaches to up-skilling and agri-tech implementation, sparking dialogue on international differences and potential synergies.

Adding an academic perspective, 19 Master’s and PhD students in agriculture from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) will actively participate in the discussion sessions, sharing their reflections and contributing to the evaluation of current methods and future needs in agricultural up-skilling.
